FEES AND BILLING INFORMATION

We accept all NDIS funding types: Agency Managed, Plan Managed and Self Managed.
Services are billed in accordance with the current NDIS Price Guide.

• We offer limited bulk billed appointments for children 7 years old and under billed according to Medicare guidelines. After bulk billed session/s have been used, our standard fees apply. 
• A valid GP referral specifying a Medicare rebated session/s (such as a Chronic Disease Management Plan) is required before the first appointment.
• After payment a receipt will be issued to claim a Medicare rebate if eligible.
• We do not process Medicare rebate claims on behalf of clients.

The following FAQs relate only to bulk‑billed services for children aged 7 years and under. These FAQs do not apply to NDIS‑funded or privately billed services. 

Do you bulk bill?
We offer a limited number of bulk‑billed appointments for eligible children aged 5 years and under. Availability is limited and bulk billing is not ongoing.

Is bulk billing guaranteed if I have a referral?
No. A referral is required; however, bulk billing is also subject to clinician availability, and service type.

How many bulk‑billed sessions can we access?
Bulk‑billed appointments are limited. Once these sessions are used, standard fees apply.

Can Horizon Allied Health  stop offering bulk billing?
Yes. Bulk-billed appointments are limited and we may stop offering bulk billing at any time. 

• If using private health insurance. Check with your health insurer to confirm your cover, and rebate amounts for occupational therapy.
• A gap fee may apply as our fees may exceed the health insurers rebate.
• An invoice will be issued at the end of the appointment. After payment, we’ll give you a receipt for you to claim directly from your health insurer.
• We do not process private health insurance claims on behalf of clients. 

Medicare and Private Health Insurance

• If eligible, for each occupational therapy session, you can claim a rebate through either Medicare or your private health insurance, but not both for the same session.
• Keep track of which funding option you use for each session to avoid confusion and rejected claims.
• If you have questions about your eligibility or the claiming process, please contact your health insurer, Medicare, or your GP.
